Learning Chinese according to age

Learning languages through experience

Building a foundation following the YCT roadmap.

Closely monitor your child's progress.

When starting to learn Chinese from a young age, it's not just about how many words you can memorize.

Parents often have these concerns:

  • I've never studied Chinese before, will I be able to keep up?

  • Is Chinese difficult for young children?

  • How can we get our children interested and actively involved in class?

  • How can we know if our child is truly making progress after each stage?

At Happy Panda Chinese, the goal is not only to help children become familiar with a new language, but also to build confidence, study habits, and a foundation for using Chinese step by step.

Learning the right way from the start makes your child's journey to learning Chinese more accessible and focused.

A program suitable for children,

a clear roadmap for parents

1. Learn Chinese through experience.

Combine images, flashcards, language games, conversations, and interactive activities to help children access knowledge in a lively and engaging way.

4. Orientation according to the YCT program

YCT is a standardized Chinese language program and certification program developed by China for students aged 6 to 15 whose native language is not Chinese.

2. Focus on listening and speaking from the start.

Create opportunities for children to listen to Chinese sounds, practice pronunciation, imitate sentence patterns, and practice communication in familiar situations.

5. Age-appropriate learning.

The content, activities, and pace of learning should be chosen to suit the child's attention span, vocabulary, and level of exposure to Chinese.

3. Develop four skills in stages.

This approach gradually builds listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, while also helping children form a solid foundation of vocabulary and knowledge.

6. Parents understand their child's learning process.

The discussion should focus on what the child has learned, what they have done well, and the skills they need to continue practicing, so that the family can support the child in the right way.

Learn by listening, watching, speaking, and practicing.

Trẻ không chỉ tiếp nhận kiến thức qua sách vở. Các em cần được nghe, quan sát, phản hồi và sử dụng ngôn ngữ trong những hoạt động phù hợp với lứa tuổi.
